For many people, charitable giving is an important personal commitment. In a recent study on philanthropy, 91 percent of respondents have donated money or volunteered time in the last year.
Yet, most people do not approach their giving in a systematic way as part of an overall financial plan. As a result, only 20 percent believe their giving is highly effective or has a significant impact on society.
While the act of giving itself is as individual and unique as each person, the process of giving can be guided in a strategic way. Such a strategy can help everyone feel more satisfied with the impact and effectiveness of their contributions.
